Life of a child in a informal settlement.

I woke up and it was so cold it felt like 0 degrees. My parents have been trying to get me to a new school. Now it was chaos. My pet dog was so hungry but we couldn't afford to feed him. I went to school the next day without any breakfast. The school was really big and there were so many kids. Like one thousand kids in one campus and it was so noisy it felt like the loudest person on earth was speaking into a microphone. When we went into class there was 60 children and it had one teacher that came in drunk and was screaming and yelling out “I hate tortoises” and she broke the window and again but this time she said you guys suck. Then another teacher came and took her out and she said she was gonna teach us for the rest of the day. When it was time to go home I rushed to the waiting area where you get fetched. But for a long time my mom and dad didn't come and fetch me. So I waited and waited and waited.

I couldn't walk to my house by myself since there are gangsters in the area where I live. I thought I should go and walk instead of waiting for a long time, so I got up then went to the gate and started my 10Km walk. I get dropped off at my school with a 30 something thousand RAND Nissan so i'm not used walking to school or back home. There were so many people that I passed while I was walking back to my house. When I arrived at my street I saw my dad drunk on the roof of my neighbors house. My mom screaming random words and practically asleep on my dads sofa that was put outside. ( know idea why). I was so angry I went in our little house and slammed the door behind me. The next day I woke up and my parents were still outside.

My dog is about to die so I’m so mad with my life and the next thing you know I’m in hospital with a disease. My mom died of cancer and my dad has a very bad disease called ”HIV”. I’ve been feeling bad since the problem in hospital but now I have been walking to school. I was walking to school with my best friend, James but we just got ambushed. There were two people and one of them hurt my friend and the other one kidnapped me. I woke up and I was in front the heaven's gate so I’m probably dead.

The Singing Inspector

I am Charles

And here is my story

It started as the inspector came and Benny and I were called up. We sang horribly and we were nervous

Today, our Singing inspector came.His name is Mr. Raymond, and he is really strict.He called me and Benny up to the stage and we didn't know what to sing, well we didn't know anything to sing. Then I said that we should sing happy birthday.We sang horribly! It was so bad we started to freak out. Then he said get these singless idiots out of here. When we walked out I started crying, then when I stopped crying I said this has been the worst thing ever to happen to me.I said that he was a bullie and we should get him fired. We wanted to do that ever since the horrible tragic day!

Some times we would look for him when he’d come back to the school but he never came.Mr.Raymond has been absent ever since the day. I personally think he’s just to scared to show up. One day we just gave up and that’s the end of my story, super tragic.

Grade 5

To all bloggers out there!!!!!!!

Grade 5 is my best year yet, cause all my tests are higher than 80%.

My teacher is really nice and his name is Mr. Raven as a male teacher so it makes it 101% better than usual. The work has been very easy for me like math,social science and natural science. I highly recommend you listen to the teachers or you're gonna end up with a detention in no time. Enjoy Grade 5, grade 4s and enjoy the new privileges that you unlock with it! 

The Butterfly Lion

The Butterfly Lion book is awesome and amazing. It is filled with wonders and imagination that was all possible because of Michael Morpurgo.I felt all these emotions down below:

• I felt angry when the dad was gonna give away the the lion.
• I felt sad when Bertie shot a rifle bullet in the air to scare the lion so he would run away.
• I felt happy when Bertie got to see his lion again after a long long time.
• I felt delighted when Millie met the white lion. 
• I felt unhappy when Bertie's mom past away.
• I felt mad when Bertie's dad married someone else.

The Grade 4 Camp

Two weeks ago we were on camp.
We went to Giraffe House and it was amazing.I loved all of the animals like the flamingo's,Warthog,Snake's,Spiders,Ostrich's,Bearded Dragon,Llama's and the Zebra's.Thank you for the reptile show and letting all of us see the reptile's.My favourite part was when we were exploring the place and I got to see Michael the parrot.


 We went to Simonsberg and it was so much fun. I loved everything there, especially the forest and the whirlpool in the pool. But the best part was when we were with our friends in the cabin and doing the activities with them.I was nervous for camp but you guys gave me confidence. The only thing that was the worst was the wasp incident but the rest was great but this camp was much better than grade 2 camp.Because there were more days and activities.

Then we all went home I was sad that we had to leave the camp site but I got to play with my friend in the bus his name is Mano I closed my eyes and I was at school!
